This custom accumulator works in tandem with the attached unwind
stand and pre-prep butt splice station. Following a signal from the
operator
the accumulator activates, storing the web. The stored web is then
supplied to the next operation while the "zero-speed" splice
occurs, allowing the line to run continuously.
